MU players will not be affected by the return of Jose Mourinho to Old Trafford
Manchester United will reunite with former Jose Mourinho when entertaining Tottenham Hotspur. Mourinho’s presence is guaranteed not to affect MU players. MU duel with Tottenham in the Premier League continued at Old Trafford on Thursday (12/5/2019).
The match will mark Mourinho’s first meeting with his former team since being laid off in December last year. Mourinho is enjoying a sweet start to his career in North London after successfully driving Tottenham to win the first three matches. Whereas since Mourinho left, MU has not experienced significant progress with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Currently, the Red Devils crashing in the ninth place of the English League standings with the acquisition of 18 points. While the Spurs shot to fifth place after collecting 20 points, only six points adrift of Chelsea in the fourth position.
After being held to a draw at Aston Villa 2-2, MU will try to get back to winning ways. Solskjaer believes MU players will continue to provide the best.
“I don’t think anyone manager of the opposing team will change their motivation,” Solskjaer told a news conference, Sky Sports quoted him as saying.
“They are motivated to perform well for Man United because they know that this is always about proof every time you get on the field, that you should be part of this long term.”
“When you wear a shirt, it doesn’t matter who you face so you have to give everything you can. The players are disappointed after Sunday, but now we are thinking about the game tomorrow night.”
“Jose will get a good reception. This is an agreement for this club and his fans. They will remember the 2.5 years he has spent here, he won several trophies. So for me, I am 100 percent that fans, and also staff will welcome him warmly,” added Solskjaer.
